●48MP Quad Rear Camera
●Exynos 9611

■ Display and Design

Galaxy A51 features 6.5"(16.4cm) FHD+Infinity-O sAMOLED display. It is slim. It has really slick rear finish that reflects light in some interesting ways. It has a hump filled with cameras around back and it has a space just 6.5 inch Super AMOLED display up front which we'll get to in a little bit beyond. There is also all of the usual stuff a USB C port that supports 15W fast charging a combination nano sim and micro SD slot.

So you can augment the phone storage. If you're a music fan you will also appreciate the fact that there is a headphone jack because the A51 single speaker is pretty terrible taken as a whole. I think this is the best-looking mid-range smartphone out there right now but there are a few things you're gonna have to keep in mind for one thinks to that display the A51 might not work for people with smaller hands. It's definitely thin and pretty manageable but it's still a handful.

The galaxy A51 also lacks any kind of IP rating for water or dust resistance which is not at all uncommon for phones in this price range. But it does mean you have to be at least a little bit careful with it. Samsung Galaxy A51 runs at a perfectly fine Full HD+ and it's one of Samsung's infinity O displays. There is a hole cut out accommodate that 32 megapixel front camera instead of something like a notch or a teardrop. That cutout is really small. It is normally the kind of thing I would stop noticing after a day or two but for some reason there's a ring of bright metal around it. It's almost like Samsung wants you to know that hole is there at all times. Thankfully the rest of the screen is pretty typically Samsung you've got deep blacks really punchy colors and pretty good viewing angles considering the price you're paying for this thing. It's max brightness feels a little weak especially in strong daylight. So outdoor use could be a little tricky. But this display is pretty well suited to hanging out at home and watching youtube videos.

The A51 is a stunner visually speaking but you don't need me to tell you that looks aren't everything and it didn't take long for this thing to get surprisingly frustrating. Just look at the fingerprint sensor because it's under the screen and it's not great when it does work. It usually takes a little while to mash up my thumb to the data stored on the phone itself but sometimes it just doesn't seem to do anything at all. Normally you'd see a bit of green splashing around your finger to let you know the sensor was obese trying to work but that didn't always appear. Wiping down the screen didn't seem to help and neither did rolling my fingers in the system itself. So for your sanity maybe just set up a pin or an unlock pattern.

■ Camera

The cameras of Galaxy A50 are pretty good most of the time you wind up using the 48 megapixel standard wide sensor. Which like most other phones with pixel rich sensors produces smaller 12 megapixel images by default as usual for Samsung you're going to see a lot of vivid colors and some pretty decent dynamic range. But I'm sure your pixel peepers will notice a distinct lack of fine details when you zoom in. If you want to think of this another way these are great photos to post on Instagram but maybe not for printing and mounting on your wall. Unfortunately even the decently wide f 2.0 aperture doesn't help the galaxy A51 main camera much in low-light colors tend to look a little washed out and details get smeared into oblivion.

Samsung+Galaxy+A51+Camera

Meanwhile the 12 megapixel ultra wide camera turned out to be kind of a pleasant surprise. It captures 823 degree field of view with minimal barrel distortion around the edges and its colors are somehow even poppier and more saturated than what you see from the main camera if you're walking around outside and taking photos expect those pale blue skies to look a lot more neon than they do in real life since this camera is mainly meant to capture lots of attractive well-lit spaces. It's perhaps no surprise that it struggles more than the main camera does in low-light the colors are maybe a little better but it's not great overall instead of a telephoto camera the A51 third rear camera is a 5 megapixel affair for macro shots which is great. If you're one of those people who likes taking pictures of coins and flowers it's too bad though that this sensor never really gave me the kind of crisp super-tight images. I had hoped for I think that's partially because the cameras image processing tends to iron out some of those finer details but you also have to hold the phone really still to get any macro shots worth keeping and that last lens is basically just a 5 megapixel depth sensor.

Samsung uses for help with its bouquet flow portraits and there's not a whole lot to say it does its job pretty well. I've seen more than a few phones struggled to accurately separate the subject from its background and the A51 handles the tasks without too much fuss at all no matter which camera you spend the most time with just be prepared for good not great results. If getting the best all-around photos is your biggest concern then you're much better off going with something like Google's pixel 3a or the iPhone. So if you don't mind switching the iOS Samsung's real edge here doesn't lay in the quality of its images so much as the flexibility that multiple cameras provide they're not ideal but the A51 basically gives you a decent enough tool for most shooting situations ultimately with the galaxy A51 Samsung tried to bring some flagship flare to a more affordable smart phone.

Galaxy A51 features an ultra wide-angle lens as well for taking those ultra wide shots which is also very detailed it can shoot 4k video recording from both front and back cameras. But you don't get the image stabilization on those modes. So if you want to stabilize footage you should use the 1080p mode on this one. One thing I really want to see is that the ability to switch between wide and ultra wide-angle lens while you're shooting the video something that you cannot do so you just have to switch before shooting the video. It also comes with a macro lens which is kind of a gimmicky to me I mean you can get really close to the subject but like not too close and the images out of this are not really that sharp unless you know you're shooting in a good lighting condition. So I'm not that impressed with the macro lens but overall it is doing a great job.

■ OS and Hardware

Another unique thing of  galaxy A51 is its softer experience. There is rocking Samsung One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 and just like their design Samsung has this a uniform thing with their softener as well so you pretty much get the same kind of software experience as you will see on the flagship phones with some features exclusive to them. But overall it's the same kind of software experience that you will experience on this phone. One UI 2.0 is one of my favorite Android skins it comes with very minimal blood wear feels super optimized just an overall unique experience indeed.

The performance of Samsung Galaxy A51 is coming with the Exynos 9611 chip which is similar to the galaxy A50 in performance. I wish Samsung went with Exodus 9630 or like a better Qualcomm chip but this chip does the job well for the most part I've not seen any lag or any issue. I'm not much of a big gamer but I have played some games like asphalt 9 and it was able to run it on high quality and you can also run other games like PUBG mobile or Fortnight. Exynos 9611 is a good chipset overall but I just wish Samsung went with something stronger.

■ Battery

Galaxy A51 features 4000mAh battery which support 15W fast charging with USB Type C. In this price range you should desrve 5000mAh battery, but the battery of A51 will not disappoint you. The 4000mAh battery which is enough for it to last a full day without it breaking a sweat. You can easily go beyond one day of use it depends on how extreme you use this phone but really it's gonna last you a full day without any problem.

■Gaming Performance

I played many high graphics game on this device like PUBG mobile, Call of duty. Galaxy A51 handle those game excellently. Pubg mobile runs on HDR. There was no lagging issue while i was playing pubg but after playing a long time i detected some heating issue. The A51 became slightly warm on the upper side, but that will not uncomfortable for you playing game.

■Our Verdict

Galaxy A51 is a excellent phone from Samsung. It all came down to the pricing. Samsung has done it right and I think Samsung is truly back in the game when you look at the competition. When it comes to mid-range devices you see a lot of films hitting the good smartphone points such as the good battery or great camera.

Samsung has done something unique here especially with this design that make you stand out you get a really good look of the phone. A consistent uniform design just like its flagship phone so that you have very much similarities and of course the actual display is really high quality and of course the software experience. Which is One UI 2.0 again very unique to this phone is something you cannot find there and that is literally what you're gonna pay for if you decide to buy this phone.
